Sol

hacker · researcher · security director

Hi! I’m Sol Ozzan. I currently lead Product Security at Function Health, but security has taken me through healthcare, fintech, ecommerce, cloud-native systems, and quite a few other interesting places.

You might know some of my research from Black Hat USA, HITB Singapore, or Ekoparty. I’ve also helped fund offensive security projects like CrackMapExec, Responder, and NPK.

Some of the work I’m proudest of happened back home in Argentina. A few friends and I ran NotPinkCon, a women-only cybersecurity conference that brought together speakers from around the world. I also taught courses that gave more than 100 girls their first introduction to hacking.

Right now, I’m helping Function make early disease detection secure while building open-source projects that use machine learning for application security. Outside security, I write about culture, philosophy, travel, and whatever else catches my attention.

I also take on a few application security consulting and advisory engagements. If you’re working through a difficult security problem or just want to share ideas, feel free to reach out!
